First settled in 1850, Bracken Ridge was famed for its pineapples.
In 2019, Brisbane City Council reopened the Bracken Ridge Library after nearly 10 months of improvements. The 1000 sqm space features enhanced library services.
Working closely with the Brisbane City Council City Projects and Library Services team, Dotdash designed the wayfinding and signage building on the architectural and interior material palette.
Their brief for the project was to designed a series of environmental graphics based on an aesthetic inspired by the pineapple plantations from bygone days.
Fresh and bright, the pineapple thematic lends itself to bold wall captures balanced with delicate fruit slices designed as vision strips.
