Skidmore, Owings,& Merrill (SOM) Graphic Design Studio worked with the Oakland Museum of California to design the environmental graphics program for the Museum renovation and to develop a new graphic identity for this beloved California institution.
The environmental graphics program for the Museum incorporates the details and finishes of the new architecture, while remaining sensitive to the existing historic building. Bold and vibrant colors are used throughout the program to enliven the concrete structure, announce gallery entries and showcase donor recognition.
