Pickleball meets design! Make West turned a Colorado food hall into a vibrant space full of energy, motion, and clever environmental graphics that truly serve the fun.

If you’ve noticed that pickleball has taken over America lately, you’re not alone. From retirees to Gen Z, everyone’s swinging paddles. So when a new pickleball-themed food hall opened in Louisville, Colorado, the team at Make West decided to turn that same energy into an unforgettable environmental graphic design experience.

The challenge? Capture the lively, social spirit of pickleball while keeping things clean and timeless. The result is a brand identity and signage system that feels playful yet polished, the kind of design that makes you want to grab a paddle and a drink.

The logo introduces subtle motion cues, paired with a fresh, modern typeface that keeps the vibe approachable. Make West also developed a full suite of custom illustrations, icons, and patterns, giving the venue a brand personality that stretches from menus to murals. One of the stars of the project is the set of supergraphics: enormous court numbers that turn the walls themselves into part of the visual playground.

To guide guests through the space, the wayfinding system stays clean and simple, while a glowing neon canopy sign lights up the exterior, like a visual high-five to everyone walking in.
