This new space designed by Ibos & Vitart consists in texts that have been selected from books in order to function as its signage system.
On the floor, wrapped around pillars and inscribed on the walls, writings punctuate the space and shows the materials that comprise the building.Highlighted by boxes of colors, words needed for orientation appear more strongly.Sentences remain in the background, slightly weakened by deleting a portion of each letter.
Different typographic styles enhance the uniqueness of each section and thus express the functions that define a library. Finally, through a selection made by Thibault Fourrier, the project is faced with Alsatian texts, texts in foreign languages, European or specific populations likely to go to the library.
