The aim of The Salvation Army’s new International Headquarters building was to be seen as open
and inclusive; transparent and evangelical were both key words.

The architects created a very transparent building, where staff can be seen working in the glass rooms. The signage solution was to use transparent colored vinyl on glass, creating a stained glass effect to reflect their evangelical nature. Light interacts with the signs to throwing colored beams around the building, varying at different times of the day and year. The uplifting bible quotations on the outside engage visitors and passers-by, and represent their religious background.
